How can i get the most out of my curls without using too much product?
How much product to use on your hair is a common question. It comes down to your curl type, your hair density and personal preference.
If you are lucky enough to use a product that comes with a pump nozzle then 1-2 pumps for fine to medium density hair, and 2-3 pumps for medium to thick hair is recommended.
If you prefer to use less product then opt for a lighter weight product, such as a foam or mousse. If you struggle with frizz, however, then be more generous with your products. You need to be able to have enough product on your hair to retain the moisture and also cover all of your hair.
When it comes to styling products, after you have washed your hair you should be able to hear a “squish” sound when your styling products are in and you are squeezing out excess water. If there is no “squish” sound then your hair does not have enough water or styling products in it.
When using a styling product for the first time there will be a trial and error period where you should adjust the product amount you use each time you wash, until you get the desired end result.
